HIGHEST EFFICIENCY
In the packaging industry, in particular, it is becoming more and more important to carry out part machining and marking processes in a single pass in order to organize the entire production process with maximum efficiency.
The Hundegger automatic cutting and processing machines combine the following in a single pass for bar and panel products:
- Fast, highly flexible cutting
- Individual machining
- Customer-specific part marking
As a result, the Hundegger system offers all options for making the workflow more efficient, combining production processes and thus significantly increasing productivity. The requirements of Production 4.0 are already standard for Hundegger.
INTELLIGENTLY PRODUCED PACKAGING
With the Hundegger system, all industrial and export packaging can be intelligently produced. The highly efficient CAMBIUM job preparation architecture ensures this.

It controls all processes from data transfer to production and permanently updates the data flow.

Well-established file transfer
- Transfer cutting lists directly (e.g. MS Excel): CSV and TXT files can be transferred directly. Holes and free panel outlines are also taken into account
- DXF / DWG
Possibilities of CAMBIUM itself
- Simple manual input with CAD functions, in the office or directly at the machine - the same software at all workstations
- Create your own parts and jobs and manage them with the help of clear job management
Data transfer from all commonly used timber construction CAD systems
- Modular timber construction CAD systems also offer interesting tools for packers. Packages can thus be easily constructed, mapped and saved, and can be adapted as required using parameterisable functions
- Our experience: "In this sense, a wooden box is nothing more than a house."
SPECTACULAR ENTRANCE
Spectacular entrance to international business
A good network, entrepreneurial courage, craft - and the necessary bit of luck: This is what the beginning of an extraordinary success story can look like. Stephan Wiegers from EPOLOG Exportverpackung und Logistik GmbH has such a story to tell. It is the start-up of his company, which had a spectacular beginning in 2002 and made EPOLOG Exportverpackung und Logistik GmbH one of the most respected companies in the industry. Just three weeks before Stephan Wiegers had decided to found the company, he landed an order that still makes him proud today:
All of a sudden, Siemens AG and ThyssenKrupp urgently needed to find a packaging company that could pack the new Transrapid and transport it safely to Shanghai. And in one fell swoop, with this order, EPOLOG Exportverpackung und Logistik GmbH, with headquarters in Hanau, Hesse, became one of the most successful companies in the packaging industry. The successful company has now taken the next innovative step by investing in a new automatic cutting machine - and here Managing Director Stephan Wiegers once again relied on his instinct and his many years of collaboration with Hundegger AG.
When EPOLOG took over the Herröder carpentry firm in Ober-Seemen, it also took over a Hundegger P 10 and worked well with it for many years. But the machine was also getting on in years, as production manager Oliver Hilß knew. In view of the ever-increasing quality demands and the need for speed and flexibility in the industry, innovation was required. Why not continue to count on Hundegger AG, which had been a reliable partner for years? Stephan Wiegers has not regretted the decision to choose Hundegger: A brand new TURBO-Drive had been standing in the large production hall in Upper Seemen for several months now, opening up new possibilities for the company. When the TURBO-Drive was then installed, the only thing left to do was to get a grip on some industry-specific "teething troubles". In the packaging department, the machined wood is usually stored outdoors, so a new solution for cutting wet wood had to be found.
Hundegger AG reacted promptly, designing a new drive for the transport of the often wet wood - and now the TURBO-Drive can also take advantage of its many possibilities in the packaging industry.

BULLSEYE
A bullseye that would have made even William Tell jealous
When two innovative companies come together, the result is innovation: When Alois Mathis, Managing Director of the Swiss packaging specialist "cargopack tägi ag" met Maximilian Schmölz from Hans Hundegger AG at a trade fair, neither of them had any idea that this meeting would result in an extraordinarily successful collaboration that would eventually even lead to an absolute "world first".
Today, this world first is located in the large production hall of "cargopack tägi ag" in Untersiggenthal in the canton of Aargau - where the company is based. Here, and at five other locations in Switzerland and one in the Czech Republic, the company ensures that its customers' high-quality capital goods reach their destination on time and safely worldwide. And Alois Mathis and his colleagues also make no bones about how proud they really are of this "world first", with the large, eye-catching information wall they created: It shows all steps and explains exactly why this is really something unprecedented: The Hundegger SPM-2 in all its glory.
But what’s so new here to warrant the title “world first”? Alois Mathis looks up - something has indeed been developed here that is unparalleled worldwide: For the first time, the panel storage system, which is usually located next to the Hundegger SPM-2, was installed above it and the panels are directly fed in. Alois Mathis and Maximilian Schmölz from Hundegger AG both recognized this opportunity when they toured the existing production hall in Untersiggenthal after initial successful sales talks. Opportunity recognized - opportunity seized: The specialists in the Hundegger development department then worked hand in hand with their colleagues at cargopack tägi ag - and both companies are delighted with the result! "We took a certain risk, but it was absolutely worth it," says Alois Mathis. The Allgäu-based specialist company has an excellent reputation in the timber construction industry, not least as the world leader for CAD-controlled joinery systems. In the packaging industry, Hundegger machines were - and still are - somewhat the exception. But that could change very quickly in the future, predicts Alois Mathis.
