Our engineers have done a fantastic job and developed a completely new machine generation. Every detail and each component is uncompromisingly designed for high-performance 3-shift operation.
The new K2-Industry is a significant leap in performance for every user, and as a new high performance system in the series of Hundegger joinery machines, it redefines state of the art.
Machining timber (flexibly and efficiently) without measuring or marking and without setup changes – the new K2-Industry makes this possible for all timber construction companies that value maximum productivity from Timber Frame through to log house construction.
Round timber, log home profiles, T-sections and multiple layers (stacks) are processed accurately without changes to the machine setup.
The three base models of the K2-Industry with different processing widths:
- Joinery machine K2-Industry 450 - from 20 x 50 to 300 x 450 mm - the basic machine for every carpentry business
- Joinery machine K2-Industry 650 - from 20 x 50 to 300 x 650 mm - for the trend towards larger timber cross-sections
- Joinery machine K2-Industry 1300 - from 20 x 50 to 300 x 1,300 mm - for all requirements up to the joinery of laminated girders and cross laminated timber

THE K2-Industry HANDLING SYSTEM
The revolutionary handling system of the K2-Industry with two clamping carriages fixes the timber directly at the processing zone. This ensures maximum precision even for the processing of slightly bent timber, round timber and log home profiles. T-sections or multiple layers (stacks) are also handled rationally and processed accurately without changes to the machine setup.

MAXIMUM PROFITABILITY IN CARPENTRY JOINERY
In carpentry joinery, the central challenge is to process timber flexibly and efficiently without measuring, marking or changeover times. The new K2-Industry offers all timber construction companies maximum productivity and availability, from carpentry joinery through to log house construction.
Without any retooling, the K2-Industry also processes and transports round timber, log house profiles, T-sections and multiple layers, for example. Even with just the standard equipment, most parts needed in carpentry joinery can be produced perfectly.
The high flexibility is one of the K2-Industry’s strengths. Whatever is needed in carpentry joinery can be produced quickly and cost-effectively.
If more complex tasks are to be performed, the K2-Industry can be freely equipped with the necessary additional units and extended as required at any time.

HIGHLY EFFICIENT IN MODULAR CONSTRUCTION
DEVELOPED FOR LOG HOME CONSTRUCTION
The log house unit will give your log house production a real boost!
With two vertical and two horizontal milling units for quadruple rabbeting of log house planks. Available up to 4 x 22 kW, depending on the version. One unit with many possibilities: Performing two opposite milling operations at the same time – or allowing the four milling units to operate independently of each other, set to the desired milling depth. This also allows rabbeting to be performed on one, two or three sides. The stroke is effected hydraulically. Hundegger manufactures the profile milling cutters for the log house unit according to the specific needs of the customer.
PERFECT FOR PROCESSING CROSS LAMINATED TIMBER
With a processing width of 1,300 mm, the K2-Industry provides a highly productive solution for joining laminated timber panels.
Machining of the increasingly popular cross laminated timber requires units that are perfectly tailored to these needs. With the new K2-Industry, special units have also been developed for these applications. For example, a vertical and horizontal turret mill, a horizontal saw, a pivoting deep-hole drill unit or special slot cutters which enable the requirements in cross laminated timber joinery to be perfectly met. The K2-Industry concept enables 6-sided processing in a run - maximum economic efficiency is guaranteed.

Storage for finished parts
Finished parts will be gently pushed onto a storage rack. The outfeed direction can be adapted to your plant layout. For heavy components an optional chain drive is available to support the discharge. Alternatively the storage rack can be replaced by a conveyor that automatically transfers the finished parts to further work areas.
HUNDEGGER K2-Industry
The range of tasks of the fully automatic Pick & Feed system essentially covers two aspects. On the one hand, it is used to fill the floor storage area, from where the destacking of pre-positioned timber packages with structural timber, cross laminated timber, solid structural timber or TJi beams takes place. On the other, the system also provides the feed to the infeed cross conveyor of a Hundegger joinery or cutting machine or a machining centre.
To fill the floor storage area, the operating personnel set down a raw wood package at the storage location by means of a crane or forklift truck and align it along stops. The layer picker of the Pick & Feed machine is positioned fully automatically above the package and transports it, layer by layer, to a free space in the floor storage area. The SPM-2 is loaded with wallboard, chipboard or OSB panels by means of vacuum technology.
The dimensions of the timber and wood packages, as well as their position is stored by the computer of the joinery or cutting machine and graphically represented on the screen. Finally, the single bar design program retrieves the data of the required cross-sections and lengths for a job from the floor storage information. The layer gripper then transports the required wood packages fully automatically to the infeed cross conveyor, and if raw timber of a layer is not needed, it is deposited back in the warehouse.
